Cindy Roe, LCSW, is a psychiatric social worker with Kaiser Permanente in Santa Ana, CA, where she specializes in working with LGBT patients of all ages, parents of children with special needs, and patients with complex trauma. Cindy co-facilitates a weekly group for transgender youth, adults and family members. She also co-facilitates the Intensive Outpatient Program, and the Parenting With Love And Logic parent education group. Cindy and her wife have been together for over 26 years, and are the proud adoptive parents of two young men. They have one grandson, two step grandsons and two granddogs.
2:30 pm – 3:30 pm HRC Fertility with Dr. Jane L. Frederick
Join Dr. Frederick as she discusses fertility options with trans couples and individuals, along with new medical practices in regards to IVF and fertility preservation.
3:30 pm – 4:30 pm Miliana Singh – Makeup Tutorial
Be sure to join Makeup Artist, Miliana Singh, as she walks you step by step how to apply makeup. This will be a great class for anyone from beginner makeup users to advanced makeup enthusiasts. It’ll be an open forum for questions, comments and discussion.
4:30 pm – 5:30 pm Dr. Maurice Garcia – Gender Surgeon
Dr Garcia was born in Mexico and grew up in Los Angeles. In 2014, at UCSF he founded the University of California’s first transgender genital affirming surgery program. At UCSF he was the recipient of UC’s prestigious Innovation Excellence Award. In 2017, Dr. Garcia was recruited to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to start and Direct Cedars’ own Transgender Surgery and Health Program. Don’t miss his presentation on Gender Affirming Surgery!

6:30 pm – 7 pm Comedy Hour!
Cate Gary has headlined at Flappers Comedy Club and the Mad House Comedy Club, and has featured at the Comedy Palace, the ComedyStore, Punch Line, and other venues throughout California. Her stand-up has been featured on the television show “Laughs” on Fox and will appear in the upcoming series “Comedy InvAsian.” Based out of Orange County, Robin has performed all over Southern California in venues such as the Improv, the Comedy Store, the Comedy Palace, and Mad House Comedy Club, and she has won 1st place in three separate comedy competitions. She is the co-producer of “Unconventional Lesbians.” She also has a commercial role for Comedy Central’s “Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle,” as well as an appearance on “Comedy Central’s Roast Battle.” In 2017, she shot her first one-hour special for the “Comedy InvAsian” series called “Don’t Look at Me.”
7:30 pm – 8:30 pm Keynote Speaker: Christine Garcia
Christine Garcia is the 1st openly Transgender Law Enforcement Officer in the San Diego County region. Since transition, she became the SDPD’s Transgender Liaison Officer. Christine is open about her transition and shares her story on a regular basis. She has struggled with gender dysphoria since she was a child. She attempted to live her life as male for 31 years and eventually after years of hiding and feelings of angst, she became comfortable with living her life as female. After finding the group TCOPS (Transgender Community of Police and Sheriffs), she decided to transition doing what she loved most, serving as a police officer.
